ITV Coronation Street fans ‘rumble’ real father of Fiz’s baby – and it’s not Tyrone
Fiz Dobbs dropped a bombshell on her husband Tyrone this Monday in Coronation Street as she announced she was pregnant. But fans believe another man is the father.
Fiz Stape announced she was pregnant this Monday
Paternity twists are common in Coronation Street and some viewers think Fiz Dobbs may be the latest Weatherfield resident to play tricks on her husband Tyrone.
While Tyrone (Alan Halsall) tried to celebrate her 40th birthday for the second time in a row (after her daughter Hope brought chaos to his plans on the big day), the Coronation Street veteran portrayed by Jennie McAlpine felt under the weather during this Monday’s (September 30, 2024) trip to the cobbles, aired on ITV.
This prompted her pal Izzy Armstrong to call Dr Gaddas for an availability and Fiz talked to her GP about her symptoms, shocked to learn that she could be pregnant. The Underworld employee was then seen back at the factory, hiding a pregnancy test in a pharmacy bag. Later on, just as she returned home to an anxious Tyrone, who had planned an evening to mark her 40th birthday, Fiz bluntly told her other half that she was pregnant.
Many viewers jumped on to Twitter, now X, after finding out the news and were left in stitches by Fiz’s delivery: “Fiz telling people she’s preggers within minutes of finding out”, one penned. However, some were more horrified by the idea that Fiz would be giving a sibling to her “devil child” Hope, and they could be just as bad as the volatile schoolgirl. “Fiz preggers with another devil child”, “So Fiz is pregnant…looks like there’s going to be another psycho Hope”, and “Fiz pregnant with another devil child, this one will come out with flames”, some of them wrote.
But in another comment, one viewer suggested that Tyrone may not the father of Fiz’s baby at all as they joked: “Is it Tyrone’s or has Fiz been up to her old tricks with Kirk?” This could lead to another DNA twist on the cobbles as the theory may not be so far-fetched.
Fiz’s old boyfriend Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) has recently experienced love woes with his former girlfriend Beth Tinker, who recently left Weatherfield behind. Their relationship had seemingly hit a wall in recent months after she was caught selling dodgy T-shirts by Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who proceeded to blackmail her shortly after the discovery.
Though Kirk has been less prominent in the spotlight in recent weeks, one scenario suggests that he may have tried to find comfort in Fiz throughout his issues with Beth, and the pair may have romped off-screen. Long-term Corrie viewers will remember that Kirk and Fiz were once romantically involved and the former even popped down to one knee for her, unaware of her then-budding connection with John Stape, her first boyfriend.
