Kim Tate (Claire King)’s revenge on her cheating husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) on Emmerdale was quite spectacular after she left him floundering in a coffin at the bottom of a deep hole. But she’s not done yet.

Kim was outraged when she discovered that Will had slept with his ex, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco). What was even worse as far as she was concerned was that he was prepared to lie to her about what happened.

So she came up with a plot that spooked Will into thinking a mysterious someone knew about his transgression. He suspected Dawn (Olivia Bromley), he suspected Ruby (Beth Cordingly), he even suspected Rose herself, but quickly ruled all of them out.

Blackmail demands soon arrived, which got more menacing and had Will scrabbling to find the money that was being asked for. Then Kim’s horse was apparently stolen – and soon after that Kim herself vanished.

Mysterious messages directed Will to a remote woodland location, where he found a scary effigy of Kim. Then he could hear her screaming for help – and she’d apparently been buried alive.

Frantically digging to get to her, Will eventually found an empty coffin, a radio producing Kim’s voice – and then Kim herself appeared and revealed herself to be behind the whole plot.

It was Kim Tate at her most berserk finest, and in upcoming episodes we see she’s fully prepared to see Will suffering just a bit more.

Jimmy (Nick Miles) comes round to Home Farm for a beer with Will as they try to put the problems they’ve been facing in their haulage business behind them. Kim isn’t happy to see the state they leave the living room in.

Later, Jimmy is totally gobsmacked when Kim comes downstairs – and she’s dressed to the nines, looking absolutely stunning. She reveals that she has a dinner date with her financial advisor, Peter Mansfield (David Michaels).

Will knows it’s a move designed to make him jealous, and it’s worked – he’s absolutely seething. And Kim is smug, knowing that she’s twisted the knife just a little bit more.

But the victory may be a hollow one, as she later confides in Lydia (Karen Blick) that revenge wasn’t as pleasurable as she was expecting. Could there still be hope for Kim and Will?
