Sienna makes promises to Ethan in first video of Hollyoaks’ big dramatic wedding
Hollyoaks’ big wedding is almost upon us and the intrigue over the planned twists is palpable among fans.
Allow Metro to whet your appetite further and make the wait slightly more bearable with this first look video clip.
While it is only the first 30 seconds of the episode, which will land on All4 on Monday September 7 before airing on E4 at 7:30pm, it captures the vibe that Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) is feeling about her groom Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey).
It’s a rare sight to see Sienna so happy – and, as I previously warned, don’t expect it to last – but she is evidently very much in love.
Practising her vows in a mirror as she applies her bridal make-up, she makes promises to love Ethan and be with him the rest of their lives.
With an excited smile, she then recites ‘I do’ a few times, clearly ready to say them for real during the big day.
Meanwhile, we see a sleepy Ethan looking worse for wear as Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) wake him up to get ready.
Ethan will be just as thrilled to tie the knot, and we recently told you that they do actually become man and wife.
However, the year that we missed is packed with secrets and all may not be what it seems in the relationship as secrets come to light.
With Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) on the periphery with ammunition to throw everything into chaos, even the deal being sealed doesn’t mean the day will end in joy.

And then there’s Jez (Jeremy Sheffield), the fiercely protective dad who is fuming at Ethan.
He is surely not going to let things pass without some kind of intervention – but just how far will he go to teach Ethan a lesson.
It’s going to be a rollercoaster of a week and, with Ethan set to leave the show, Sienna’s hopes for a long and happy future are inevitably going to be dashed.
But what goes so wrong from this happy opening clip?
Gaps will be filled and catastrophe is going to follow – brace yourselves for high drama as Sienna spirals into the character of old, as teased by show boss Hannah Cheers when I caught up with her.
It’s going to be messy…
