Hollyoaks fans ‘still in shock’ as fan favourite killed off in game-changing twist
Hollyoaks' Ethan Williams was seemingly killed off on his wedding day to Sienna Blake after it was revealed he got Vicky Grant pregnant and paid her to have an abortion
Hollyoaks fans have branded the latest instalment of the Channel 4 soap “best episoe ever” as Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams’ wedding day ended in a shock death.
The serial drama has started a new whodunit storyline after Ethan (Matthew James Bailey) died from being shoved off a balcony by an unknown assailant.
A dark cloud gathered over the nuptials before the death, as Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham) publicly revealed that Ethan cheated on Sienna (Anna Passey) with Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) last Christmas.
While Sienna already knew about Ethan’s infidelity and had forgiven him, her family had no idea and were now unwilling to support her wedding plans.
Monday’s (October 7) episode, which is available to stream now, saw Sienna trying to convince her family that she’d moved past Ethan’s cheating and desperately wanted them to attend her wedding.

Meanwhile, Ethan had a rough night and woke up at the allotments. Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) was left to help him get his act together before the ceremony began.
Ethan secretly met up with Vicky to ask her to let him move on, though he also referred to her as “gorgeous” and “a 10 out of 10”. Ethan and Sienna ultimately tied the knot, but the trouble started moments later. A vengeful Vicky appeared outside the church to throw a drink over Sienna.
“A drink to celebrate. Enjoy it while it lasts until he’s knocking on my door again,” Vicky seethed. Sienna had to be held back by her sisters from going after Vicky, with Liberty Savage urging Sienna not to “stoop” to Vicky’s level.
When Ethan called their one-night-stand “irrelevant”, Vicky revealed he’d got her pregnant and paid for her to have an abortion. After the fight between Sienan and Vicky was eventually broken up, Ethan once again tried to plead his case when he found Sienna. He confessed that he never planned to tell Sienna about Vicky’s pregnancy.
The wedding reception guests could later overhear Ethan and Sienna arguing on the balcony upstairs. Suddenly, Jez, Liberty and the other guests hear a massive thud. The guests rushed outside to find Ethan’s corpse draped over a car outside the venue. Who killed Ethan?
