Hollyoaks confirms car chase in Clare Devine return plot – with suspicious ending

Hollyoaks has confirmed a dramatic car chase as Clare Devine makes a shock return to the soap next week – escaping from prison and kidnapping two children! With Sienna Blake and Warren Fox in hot pursuit, will Clare get away in time, or will she be stopped in her tracks?
Clare has been behind bars since she accidentally killed her sister Grace late last year and Froggy called the police on his granddaughter. But actor Gemma Bissix is now back to reprise her role – after briefly returning to Walford earlier this month.
The new spring trailer shows villain Clare’s great escape from jail, and in her first moments of freedom she comes back to the village and pays a visit to Froggy to settle some old scores with her grandad.
Next week, the police begin their search for the escaped prisoner, while Clare heads to the Maaliks’ house. Donny is horrified to find his former flame Clare in his living room, and things get worse when he is faced with a sinister threat.
Clare demands that Donny hands over a large sum of money, or she will tell everyone that he killed Griff. As Misbah comes downstairs to find Clare, it remains to be seen what Donny will do. But Clare is soon off again, and despite Dodger’s best efforts, he can’t track her down.
Meanwhile, Sienna tells Sophie that she needs to protect her little brother after she admits she is jealous of the baby. But her advice is taken in the wrong way, as Sienna and Warren later get a call to say that Sophie has hit a boy at holiday club!
As the pair rush to the scene, Sienna assures the teacher that this won’t happen again and explains that Sophie was only trying to protect her brother Sebastian.
Later, with Tori and Joseph in Sienna’s car in the car park, Cleo isn’t impressed when she hears Warren boasting about how Sophie punched a child. With the adults at each other’s throats, runaway Clare spots an opportunity.
Clare makes a snap decision and jumps into Sienna’s car, speeding off with her former surrogate daughter Tori. But it’s only later that she realises baby Joseph is also in the vehicle…
Sienna and Warren are furious and follow on behind to get the children back, while devastated Cleo is left feeling helpless at home – and she feels even worse when Dodger tells her where Clare is going.
