HOLLYOAKS actress Jessamy Stoddart has welcomed her second child just days after her on-screen soap exit.
The actress, 32, who is taking a break from the Channel 4 soap while she is on maternity leave, has taken to Instagram to reveal she has finally given birth and she said it was “euphoric.”
Jessamy, who recently complained about “still being pregnant”, has been keeping fans up- to-date with her second pregnancy.
Today the star, who shares her children with husband Ryan O’Gorman, thrilled fans when she revealed that baby number two has finally arrived.
The soap star captioned her social media post: “She’s here. All 9lbs 6 of her.
“I got the VBAC water birth of my dreams & it was EUPHORIC. I feel like I won the midwife lottery and had the unwavering support of Ryan, as always.
“Floating on clouds right now with my two little ladies.”
Jessamy’s fans rushed to congratulate her, with one writing: “Ahhh how beautiful you both look, congratulations. I’m so happy for you all . I hope you are all keeping well. Sending my best wishes to you all.”
Another added: “Welcome to the world precious girl. Massive congratulations Jessamy, Ryan and Joni.”
Podcast host Gemma Cutting said: “Oh babe I’m so happy for you!!!! Birth sounds amazing, can’t wait to hear all about it and meet her!!xxxx”
Coronation Street star Isabelle Smith commented: “Huge congratulations and sending all my love to you all. What wonderful news!! xoxo”
Jessamy thrilled fans in December when she revealed that her and husband Ryan were expecting another baby.
Sharing the news at the time with a snap of her baby bump, the TV star penned: “So incredibly lucky to be growing a little brother or sister for Joni.
“Baby O’Gorman. Due May 2026.”
The happy couple later revealed they were set to have another daughter, in a sweet gender reveal video.
Jessamy and Ryan got engaged in December 2020, before marrying a year later.
They then became parents for the first time in January 2023 when they welcomed their first daughter, Joni.
Meanwhile, Jessamy’s character Liberty Savage’s exit from the soap was aired this week, after eight years on screen.
She bid farewell to loved ones as she got into a taxi at the end of Wednesday’s episode.
It’s understood that actress Jessamy is just on maternity leave, and will return to the soap at a later date.
