Cain has heartbreaking news for Belle in Emmerdale spoiler video

This new Emmerdale spoiler video shows the moment Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) approaches siblings Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Sam (James Hooton) to reveal their dad Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) has died.

On Monday, Cain will return home to Butlers after visiting Zak and Debbie (Charley Webb) in Scotland.

Previously, Debbie called Cain and told him that Zak’s health had gotten worse, so he made his way up there to see his dad and help Debbie.

Just as Cain gets back and heads for a shower, Moira (Natalie J Robb) takes a call from Debbie and learns Zak has died.

‘It comes as a bit of a bolt from the blue, especially seeing as he’s just come back from Scotland that morning, I think, and Zak’s kind of told him to go and, you know, it’ll be fine’, Jeff Hordley explained.

‘And he’s promised him that he won’t do too much, because his doctor said for him to rest, because he’s not been well. I think that’s why it’s so immediate for Cain, and so shocking – it’s like seeing someone in the morning, isn’t it? And then in the afternoon, they’re gone, and he’s trying to process it.

‘It will have been a huge comfort [that he’s not long seen his dad], especially when it’s a sudden death. But if you’ve seen someone just before, then it can make it easier.’

In this video, we see the moment Cain begins his journey around the village to tellthe Dingles about Zak’s passing.

He begins with Sam and Belle, who have spent the morning in the woods poaching.

Cain then informs his siblings and as expected, they are truly devastated.

Afterwards, the villagers gather on Main Street to see Sam and Cain off as they set off on their voyage to bring Zak home.

The day of the funeral rolls around and it’s the maudlin affair everyone expects it to be, but as the Dingles are lost in their grief, an unexpected relative appears at the graveyard and leaves everyone in utter disbelief. Who’s back?

‘I have so many brilliant memories of Zak’, star James Hooton added.

‘I used to like the really silly, unbelievable stuff that we did back in the 90s. One memory is of a crying Elvis doll that the Dingles tried to convince people was like a crying Mary Magdalene sort of thing. It was a doll that they’d stolen from a second-hand clothes shop and they were using it to make money.

‘Another hilarious story that springs to mind is when they tried to send Butch into orbit, the most unbelievable storyline at that time but we always tried to do it with pathos and believability. It used to make us laugh so much that sometimes it became difficult to get through a scene.’
