Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) makes a discovery about partner Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) next week in Coronation Street, and it has the potential to end their relationship.

The Winter/Brown family are continuing to get used to their life without Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), who died in September after battling motor neurone disease.

The contrast between what Bernie wants for Paul’s memory and what Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) thinks should be done continues next week in the ITV soap.

Once she, Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and the quads return from their trip, Bernie disagrees with Billy once again over the plan to send Paul’s ashes into space.

Meanwhile, Chesney (Sam Aston) finishes deep-cleaning Prima Doner, but he’s outraged when Dev says that he won’t actually be paid for the whole month the business is shut, due to his zero-hours contract.

When Bernie discovers this, she’s furious with Dev as Ches is forced to take a zero-hours delivery job to compensate.

In the week, it’s the quads birthday party so Gemma and Bernie plan a party at Number 5. There, Bernie tells Asha (Tanisha Gorey) that she’s still furious with Dev and he needs to pull of a big romantic gesture if he wants to win her round.

With things still frosty between the couple, Bernie finds a distraction after the party by planning a screening of Paul’s ashes video in the pub.

When Bernie discovers from Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) that an anonymous donor has paid for the buffet, she realises it’s Dev.

But will this be enough for the couple to reunite and get back on track?
