Child’s violent rampage is all kinds of shocking as fire rages in EastEnders horror
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of EastEnders that hasn’t aired on BBC One yet, but is available to view on BBC iPlayer.
It was far from a quiet evening in Walford in EastEnders, as multiple characters found themselves in dangerous situations.
We’ll start with the Moons.
Alfie (Shane Richie) had been away for a few days training for a new job. While he was gone, Kat (Jessie Wallace) had been in her flat, claiming she picked up Coronavirus. In reality, we know Kat has been hiding due to sustaining another injury from violent son Tommy (Sonny Kendall).
Kat’s attempt at covering for her son really didn’t last long, as Alfie worked out she was lying.
To prevent Alfie reporting the assault to the police, Kat confessed that Tommy was responsible.
After Kat opened up to Alfie about what’s been going on, he found his son at the Boxing Den. There, the teen tried to claim Kat’s black eye was an accident and only happened once, but an angry Alfie highlighted a pattern was emerging with Tommy’s behaviour, and it was becoming incredibly out of control.
At the flat, Kat and Alfie were forced to update Freddie (Bobby Brazier) after he witnessed Alfie confronting Tommy at the gym. The parents hoped talking to Tommy calmly would get him to listen and at the start, it seemed to work.
As night fell, Alfie and Freddie started to prepare the table for dinner. They got talking about Tommy’s behaviour and how he potentially changed when Kat was with Phil (Steve McFadden), unaware Tommy was listening behind the door.
The family sat down for dinner, but the peaceful evening sadly didn’t last long.
Once Tommy became irritated by his twin brothers, Freddie wound him up even more by fighting with him over some tomato sauce.
It resulted in Tommy falling to the floor, enough to trigger his anger to a completely new level.
Kat and Alfie tried to get control of him, but Tommy lost it. He smashed plates, threw a chair to the floor, pushed his dad and poured hot liquid over Freddie’s arm.
The situation ended with the flat a mess and Kat and Alfie looking terrified. How do they move on from this?
Meanwhile, Ravi (Aaron Thiara) was making some new enemies in the form of Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Teddy (Roland Manookian).
Yesterday, Ravi held Teddy’s other son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) over the viaduct, believing he was responsible for putting Avani (Aaliyah James) in danger.
Barney was pulled to safety due to Avani telling Ravi that he had got the wrong bloke. After an altercation between Teddy and Ravi in the market, the new Mitchells quickly proved they shouldn’t be messed with – at all.
Outside, Vinny (Shiv Jalota) called out to Ravi and informed him the call centre was on fire.
As the emergency services attempted to get control of the flames, Ravi and Nish (Navin Chowdhry) clocked Harry and Teddy staring at them.
New enemies have been made.
And things are only bound to get worse.
