Emmerdale spoiler video: Ruby’s terror as police confront her over Ethan’s death
The residents of Emmerdale were rocked by the sudden, shock death of Ethan Anderson (Emile John) in Tuesday (May 28)’s episode.
The lawyer collapsed at home as he and his father Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) prepared to go to court, where Ethan was due to be sentenced for driving offences that led to Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) being seriously injured.
Viewers later saw Nicky’s mum, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), taking revenge for what happened to her son by running Ethan over and then driving away from the scene.
She later visited him at his home where she showed no remorse for her actions, which had led to him being battered and bruised. In fact, she warned him that if Nicky didn’t pull through she would ‘Finish the job.’
In the wake of Ethan’s death it was his grieving father Charles’ turn to issue threats, as he pledged ‘by almighty God’ that whoever had committed the hit and run would be made to pay for their actions. Charles was convinced that Ethan must have sustained hidden injuries during that incident that then led to his death.
Ruby was talking to Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) when Charles and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) came back from the hospital with the news about Ethan and we saw the shock on her face as she realised that her actions might have led to his death.

Clearly for all her tough talk, Ruby is not so callous that she would actually want someone else’s son dead.
While everyone waits for the result of the post mortem to determine whether it was the hit and run that killed Ethan, Ruby is terrified of the possible consequences she might face.
A new spoiler video shows the moment that Ruby spots the police in the village. While Caleb Miligan (William Ash) reassures her that it ‘Could be about anything,’ Ruby is almost paralysed with fear.
Caleb urges her to stick to the story that they’ve agreed together and act like they’re going about their normal business.
Ruby’s fears are confirmed when PC Swirling (Andy Moore) approaches and asks if Caleb and Ruby have a few minutes to spare. ‘You’ll no doubt have heard about Ethan Anderson,’ he says.
