Natalie Cassidy reveals why she still hasn’t married BBC colleague after nine-year engagement
EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy has opened up about her relationship and why she hasn’t married her fiance yet.
The actress, who plays Sonia Fowler in the show, got engaged to BBC cameraman Marc Humphries back in 2015.
Nine years later, Natalie has been thinking about wedding plans and how one of the reasons why the big event hasn’t happened yet is because she wants ‘something small.’
‘Do you know what? It’s a lot of money,’ she told OK! magazine.
‘No, I tell you what it is; it’s time and budget. It is because I go, ‘I’ll only do something small; I don’t need to…’”.
She added: ‘I will do it small but I want to be at The Ledbury. Oh, I want a Michelin star meal or I’m just a bit of a snob genuinely.’
The actress shares Eliza with her ex-partner Adam Cottrell, while Joanie, who recently turned 8, is the daughter of Natalie and Marc.
Natalie marked 30 years of playing Sonia Fowler in 2023. The actress made her arrival in 1993, with Sonia soon becoming a firm favourite for fans thanks to her iconic behaviour and love for playing the trumpet.
Recently in Albert Square, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) is, of course, the only one who believes that Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) has implicated her sister Sonia for the murder of his comatose wife Debbie.
With nobody believing her claims, she hit the bottle and was later kicked out of The Queen Vic.
Lats month, Reiss was left disappointed when a number of his neighbours refused to sign his petition to get Sonia out of prison.
