Sick Coronation Street killer who murdered TV legend set for shocking return
There’s a grim shock in store for the residents of Coronation Street as one of their most violent killers will make a return in coming weeks.
Clayton Hibbs, the young son of Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), will be revisited when she gets news from the prison where he is currently incarcerated.
Viewers will remember that Clayton stabbed David’s (Jack P Shepherd) wife Kylie in broad daylight in some of soap’s most horrifying scenes.
David was seen cradling his lost soulmate and letting out a wail of anguish on the cobbles as she bled to death in his arms.
David would go on to attempt to kill Clayton, before the teen was finally arrested and jailed.
Shona and David found love some time later, only for him to be rocked by the identity of her son.
In later scenes, Clayton even held his own mum at gunpoint. But now Metro can confirm we will see him again, which will awaken old nightmares and also potentially drive a wedge between the currently stable couple.
Actor Callum Harrison, who was last seen in 2020, has already filmed his scenes and it is not currently a permanent return storyline.
Since leaving Corrie, Paula Lane has gone on to play Ella Foster in Emmerdale, grimly enough who turned out to be a killer child herself.
Clayton’s return scenes will air next month.
