Coronation Street confirms most shocking Joel murder suspect yet – and she’s a TV legend
This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Coronation Street has confirmed another suspect in Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) murder case, and it is the most shocking one yet.
In tonight’s episode, it was revealed that Carla Connor (Alison King) has been keeping quiet about her whereabouts on the night of Joel’s death.
Joel was murdered on September 27, with the pathologist confirming that he had suffered two blows to the head.
When Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) was questioned about his whereabouts that night, he insisted that he had been at home with Carla and Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) all night.
However, it later transpired that Carla had actually nipped out of the flat at some point that evening and headed to the factory.
Though Carla insisted that she had come straight home, she failed to mention that she saw something suspicious on her way out…
Has Carla kept quiet about witnessing the murder, or did she have something to do with it herself?
Earlier this week, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) also came under suspicion as a flashback revealed that she had been involved in an altercation on the night of Joel’s death.
The detective was seen nursing some painful bruises, before remembering chasing someone through the precinct, threatening them with her police baton.
Despite Carla’s close relationship to Lisa, she has so far failed to mention what she saw that night. Could she be set to come clean?
Other suspects in the frame include Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) and Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).
Are we set to see any other suspects join the line up?
