Who were Rebecca and Seb White in Emmerdale as iconic character is killed off?
It was recently announced that Emmerdale has killed off Rebecca White (Emily Head) off-screen, much to the horror of fans.
In a recent episode, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) informed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) that Rebecca had died during a routine surgical procedure, as a result of heart issues.
Rebecca left the Emmerdale village alongside Ross and son Seb in 2018, after two dramatic years on the show.
If you can’t remember who Rebecca and Seb were then not to worry – we’ve got you covered.
Who was Rebecca White?
Rebecca White, played by Inbetweeners star Emily Head, arrived in the Emmerdale village by helicopter in 2016, just a year after the tragic helicopter crash that took several lives.
She was the daughter of Home Farm resident Lawrence White, and the half-sister of Chrissie White.
She was also the aunt of iconic serial killer Lachlan White – and she almost became one of his murder victims on several occasions.
When Lachlan caused a car accident that killed both Chrissie and Lawrence, Rebecca was left with a serious brain injury, which caused her to have problems with her memory.
She was later taken hostage by Lachlan in a remote cabin in the woods, and though he tried one several occasions, he couldn’t find it in him to kill her.
Instead, he left her with a crooked nurse, who eventually wised up to what Lachlan was really like and let her walk free.
Following the ordeal, she grew close to Ross, after he was caught in an acid attack.
Who was Seb White?
Sebastian White was Rebecca’s son, who was born in 2017.
In a shock twist, he was revealed to be the son of Robert Sugden, the ex-husband of her half-sister Chrissie, who was in a relationship with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) at the time.
Seb was conceived during a one-night-stand between the pair, and though Robert wanted her to get an abortion, Rebecca decided to keep the baby.
Following Rebecca’s death, it was revealed that Seb had been taken away from Ross, as he and Rebecca weren’t together at the time of her death.
