Emmerdale confirms major consequences as Ruby’s daughter arrives – and she’s not alone
After much anticipation, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) daughter Steph finally arrives in Emmerdale soon – but she’s not the only new family member heading to the village.
We’ve known for ages that Nicky (Lewis Cope) isn’t Ruby and Caleb’s only child, but it’s only really been in recent weeks that we’ve learnt a bit more about Stephanie after Ruby’s dying mum Helen mentioned her.
Played by star Georgia Jay, Steph is described as smart, confident and completely reckless.
She hasn’t seen either of her parents in well over a decade and it’s clear she’s got all the best and worst parts of her mum and dad, including their narcissistic need to win at all costs.
Also arriving in the village is Anthony, Ruby’s dad.
Portrayed by Nicholas Day, Anthony has mellowed in his old age and seems like delightful company to the outside world.
Ruby’s not seen her father in over 30 years and following her mum’s death, she’ll soon be forced to complete the unwelcome family reunion.
Discussing these new arrivals, producer Sophie Roper said: ‘We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family.
‘With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.’

Reflecting on his role, Nicholas Day added:
‘I’ve been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family. And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding – I feel blessed.’
Georgia Jay commented: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory.’
Nicholas and Georgia will appear on screen as Anthony and Stephanie later this month.
