Some Emmerdale viewers think they know what is going on between Tom King and his solicitor pal Ollie.
It became apparent on Monday night that the pair were up to no good, and were targeting the Dingles. With Belle Dingle facing prison for attacking her abusive husband Tom in self-defence recently, she and the police face a race against time to prove his actions.
Tom has his solicitor pal Ollie on side, and they’ve both been plotting to keep Tom out of prison, making Belle look guilty. Recently Ollie covered up the business with the tablet, and now it’s emerged he helped Tom in his plan to make himself look the victim, trying to suggest the Dingle family are out to get him.
First he smashed up his own car, before he had Ollie attack him. Sam Dingle has been blamed for both crimes and he’s trying to prove to everyone it wasn’t him.
But at the end of Monday’s episode we finally found out why Ollie was helping his friend, risking his entire career to help him. From withholding evidence to committing crimes and framing villagers, why would Ollie go to this much trouble to help Tom?
We learned on Monday Ollie had a secret of his own, something that Tom knew about. The pair go way back it seems, with it thought he was an old school or uni friend – unless this was a lie.
That aside, he has a big link to the village in that he is tied to Tom, and Tom knows something about his past. Ollie alluded to the fact he was hiding a secret that could never come out, something Tom knows about.
Tom is now using this secret to blackmail Ollie into helping him, telling him they needed to do more to get what Tom wanted, whether it was legal or not. Ollie is clearly out of his depth, and now viewers believe they know what Tom has over him.
One viewer said: “I’m sure I heard something to do with drugs.” Another agreed: “I’m sure he has something over his solicitor to do with drugs,” as a third wrote: “Drug dealer.”
A fourth fan posted: “I reckon he’s been caught abusing in the past and got away with it,” as a firth added: “The solicitor is a druggy.” A further comment read: “I thought his solicitor was a friend from school or uni so maybe a backstory there.”
