Coronation Street is lining up some huge episodes next week, with spoilers teasing the moment viewers have been waiting for.
Joel Deering’s real killer is finally confirmed in special episodes, as Kit Green questions all of the suspects. Soon enough flashbacks give away what really happened to Joel that night, and who dealt the blow to the head that killed him.
It would seem the spoilers actually drop a major hint as to who isn’t the killer, as a confession from Dee-Dee Bailey seems to rule her out. It’s not just drama with Joel’s death taking centre stage next week though, as there’s trouble for Tim Metcalfe, and a return spells drama for David Platt and Shona Ramsey.
The main plot of the week though is the reveal of who kills Joel. Viewers have known for weeks now that he was murdered with a crowbar, and that someone attacked him before his body was found in the river.
Dee-Dee reveals she called him after attacking Joel with a crowbar, claiming she killed him. But in a twist she claims Joel was actually alive when she left him, but she fears he died some time after from the injuries she inflicted.
So did someone else kill Joel? Soon Kit is provided with a bombshell and another shock piece of evidence that could change everything. Ds Swain could also be cleared as she reveals someone planted her CS spray with the murder weapon, so is it the murder weapon that is the new evidence Kit is given?
Also, who would want to frame Swain? Swain claims she’s being set up, but it could be a cover story. But if we uncover who is framing Swain then perhaps we know who the killer is. As the suspects are interviewed meanwhile, the end of the week sees us relive the night
During Friday’s episode a series of flashbacks are combined with the interviews, and viewers finally get the view from the bridge and discover who delivered the final blow that really killed Joel. Elsewhere next week, Mason Radcliffe tries to make amends with Tim Metcalfe as Sally is left devastated.
Lauren Bolton fears she’ll lose her son Frankie, but Max Turner advises her they need to stick together. David Platt also risks trouble when he visits Clayton in prison without telling wife Shona.
He soon forms a plan, but when Shona finds out her son has been rushed to hospital she’s left heartbroken. Could this be the moment David’s lies are exposed?
