‘Watch your back!’ Coronation Street star issues warning as he confirms return
Coronation Street star Seamus McGoff has issued a warning to his on-screen brother after returning to the cobbles.
Seamus has made a comeback to the ITV soap as Matty Radcliffe, the troublesome brother of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).
Over the weekend, the young actor shared a post on Instagram that hinted Matty’s return will spell trouble for Mason, who is trying to get his turn his life around after being released from young offenders earlier this year.
Posting a picture of himself in character as Matt, Seamus wrote: ‘Thank you @coronationstreet for having me back on the cobbles playing Matty Radcliffe!’
back.’
Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, commented: ‘Well done Seamus xxx.’
Seamus appeared in two episodes of Corrie last year, where he was seen serving a sentence for ABH at Greenford Secure Training Centre.
Having since been released, Matty made his way back to Weathefield with their other brother Logan (Harry Lowbridge).
They told Mason – who was given a place to stay for the night by Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) – that Tim and Sally’s house was their next target, before stealing their car.
Having not told Sally that Mason stayed the night, his secret is exposed on Monday when she discovers her mother’s ring has gone missing.
Spotting Mason and his brothers, Tim confronts them, curious as to whether they were responsible.
After Matty and Logan laugh in his face, Tim quickly realises Mason is scared – but things get worse for him when Sally calls the police.
Will he be able to prove his innocence?
