Horror for the Barlows in Coronation Street as bleeding Ken is rushed to hospital
The drama never seems to stop for Ken Barlow (William Roache) in Coronation Street.
Earlier this year, Ken suffered a fall and was rushed to hospital. He was then told he would need a carer while he recovered, something Ken initially was reluctant to accept.
Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) was hired by the Barlows and with time, Ken became surprised at how much he enjoyed her company.
In upcoming episodes, Ken returns from his holiday and tells his family that after looking at his finances, he’s concluded Cassie will need to be let go.
While the family is relieved, Ken braces himself for an awkward conversation as he approaches Cassie and tells her that she’s no longer required.
Ken’s left pondering over his decision later in the week when he starts to feel unwell. Needing extra help, he tells Cassie that he’ll pay her an extra pound an hour if she’ll come back.
Flanked by Adam (Sam Robertson) and Steve (Simon Gregson), Tracy (Kate Ford) orders Cassie to sling her hook and stop sponging off Ken, adamant she’ll look after him.
However, when Ken suffers a nosebleed and admits he feels awful, they are forced to rush him to hospital.
As it stands, it’s not known what causes Ken’s nosebleed and his sudden illness but towards the end of the week, Steve spells out to Cassie that she’s sacked.
Is that because she was responsible for Ken’s hospital trip?
We know that Cassie became very interested in Ken’s bank account recently when she overheard a conversation about premium bonds. Was she planning on making Ken poorly to get close to him again?
Or could it have been revenge after losing her job?
