1. Nancy struggles
With Darren still missing, Jack urges Nancy to stay strong. She continues to lie to Frankie, telling her that her dad isn’t missing and is staying with his sister. Nancy returns to work at the school, but she has the weight of the world on her shoulders.
She confides in John Paul and fears that Darren won’t ever come back. Later in the week, she is horrified when she finds out at the police station that Darren’s blood was found in the car.
2. Robbie is concerned
Robbie becomes worried that Darren’s disappearance is linked to him killing Dave – as the abandoned car Darren’s belongings were found in was one of his stolen vehicles.
Rex reassures Robbie and says that while he did give Darren one of the stolen cars, he didn’t tell anyone about Dave. Robbie later tells Freddie that according to Rex, Darren was distressed about JJ when he left.
3. Diane’s lie continues
Tony supports Diane, as she continues to lie that she relapsed – with Tony unaware that it was actually Ro who was drinking the wine. Diane admits that she lied to win Tony back, and Ro insists that she tells him the truth.
4. Ste is suspicious
Ste spots Rex and Robbie arguing at the garage and he thinks that Rex has killed James. Meanwhile, Dillon warns Lucas that Ste terrified Misbah when he broke into her house, and he is furious with him.
Ste escapes the Lomaxes’ house and tells Freddie that Robbie has taken Rex away in a van.
5. Tony meddles
Tony tells Mercedes that he will always be there for Diane, even though they are divorced, and he decides to invite her for a meal for two. Diane excitedly sets up for dinner but is shocked when Tony brings in her plus one – Marie.
6. Ste takes drastic action
Confused about the situation, Ste takes Rex into Dee Valley Law and locks him inside. He holds him hostage and demands answers about why he killed his husband. Lucas manages to get inside and begs his dad to come out, while a distraught Peri waits outside.
7. Jeremy investigates
Maxine is annoyed by Jeremy’s investigation into Ethan’s death, and she feels that people only care about Sienna and not Ethan. She is set on Sienna being responsible for his death.
Jez has realised that the only person from the wedding not accounted for is the photographer, who appears to have closed his business and vanished. When he shares this theory with Sienna, she responds with a different theory, which leads to Jez paying Vicky a visit. What does he want?
8. Charlie returns to the village
Frankie is delighted when Charlie visits home – in the character’s first appearance on screen since after the show’s time jump. But he soon gets a big shock when Lucas reveals the major news about Dillon and Leah.
