Coronation Street’s Carla and Lisa give into passion but secret revenge plan risks it all

Viewers tuning into Coronation Street on Friday night were in for some steamy scenes, as Swarla finally gave into passion.

Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain shared a kiss before taking things to the bedroom, as Carla finally gave into her feelings. After confiding in her nephew Ryan Connnor about her true feelings for pal Lisa, she decided to act on it.

Lisa had stayed the night on the sofa after hitting the booze, with her grateful to Carla for looking after her the next day. Carla headed out where she spoke with Ryan, before returning just as Lisa prepared to leave.

Carla told her not to go before leaning in and kissing a stunned Lisa. But the feeling was pretty mutual as Lisa kissed her back and the pair got very steamy.

When the show returned to the flat Carla was shown asking herself what she was doing, only for Lisa to tell her lover to get back into the bedroom. Viewers were thrilled to see them potentially finally making a go of things, but there could be a bit of a roadblock ahead.

In the episode we saw Betsy, Lisa’s teen daughter, figuring out that the pair had slept together. With it being her late mum’s birthday and still grieving for her, Betsy lashed out and threw a drink over Lisa.

Just as it seemed the pair might find happiness, Lisa and Carla ended up having their first big clash over Betsy’s behaviour. Carla fumed at the way the teen treated her mum, while Lisa was angry at being told how to parent her.

It led to Lisa leaving the flat pretty abruptly, while Carla had a word with Betsy. But her words of encouragement led to a revenge twist that soon lead to heartache in upcoming episodes.

Viewers know that Carla is left injured and rushed to hospital next week, with her life in danger after a break-in at the factory. It’s now been revealed that Betsy is to blame, after her plan to get Mason’s brothers off of his back for good.

After Carla told Betsy to grow up and to let go, urging her to let her mum be happy, Betsy took revenge. She told Mason’s brothers that the factory would be empty next week, and said she’d let them in to steal whatever they wanted to if they left Mason alone.

She did this to get back at Carla, but it seems she has no idea Carla will end up going to the factory – resulting in her attack. So will Betsy’s devastating actions of revenge tear Swarla apart for good before they’ve even given things a chance?
