Emmerdale actor James Chase is quite literally washing Tom King right out of his hair after unveiling a new look.
The actor is set to depart his role as the character on the ITV soap in the coming weeks, as Tom faces justice for his abuse of wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
Ahead of what is likely to be his final scenes, James has shown off a new haircut on Instagram, which is a big departure from Tom’s floppy-haired look.
He posted a video showing off his shorter, slicked-back do on his Stories, writing: ‘The three day marination period after a trim.’
As Emmerdale fans know, Tom was arrested not once but twice last week after evidence was uncovered that corroborated Belle’s allegations of abuse.
Knowing that he’d likely be convicted during trial, Tom made arrangements to flee the country but Belle planted her phone in his rucksack and notified the police, who were able to track the device.
The storyline will reach its conclusion with an hour-long instalment airing later this month, as Tom faces trial.
The special episode will also highlight the real-life voices of domestic abuse victims and survivors.
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw also hinted Belle will finally get justice, saying: ‘We knew from the outset that Belle would need some sort of closure on Tom and we know our Emmerdale audience always look forward to our villains getting their comeuppance.’
As Tom takes to the stand, a number of familiar faces will be seen on the jury, with Metro confirming last month that Denise Welch will make a guest appearance.
The Loose Women panellist will appear alongside former Coronation Street stars Jack Ellis and Charles Dale.
