Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) is caught up in a terrifying ordeal in Coronation Street later this month all thanks to grandson David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd).
As fans know, David stole Damon Hay’s (Ciaran Griffiths) secret stash of money that went missing back in October.
After hearing about Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) medical bills, Damon offered the money to ex Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), revealing he’d managed to keep some of the cash from the robbery he committed for dangerous gangster brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) earlier this year.
Sarah was worried about the consequences when Harvey found out the money had gone walkabout, but Damon managed to shift the blame onto one of Harvey’s associates.
David has been holding onto it ever since, but in forthcoming scenes, local thugs Matty and Logan Radcliffe get wind of this and confront a shaken David.
The pair then take things further when they call at the salon and trick Audrey, telling her they are friends of David’s.
Completely unaware of their sinister intentions, what do Matty and Logan have in store for poor Audrey?
Her ordeal comes as she is coming to terms with a big announcement Gail Platt (Helen Worth) has just dropped on the family.
Audrey is also up to something next week, as when Gail insists on taking her temperature, she secretly dunks the thermometer in David’s coffee.
As Gail reads the result, she orders Audrey to see a doctor as soon as possible – will she be rumbled?
