The Emmerdale moment Marlon finds out about April’s kidnap ordeal in new video – from an unexpected character
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is about to discover a horrifying piece of information about April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) in Emmerdale.
A few days ago, Ross Barton’s (Michael Parr) involvement in Jade’s world saw April in serious danger.
With Jade believing him to have stolen the money from the illegal fight at Butlers last month, Ross was determined to find a way to pay her off, knowing how dangerous she can be.
Things escalated dramatically, however, when he discovered that Jade had kidnapped April and was holding her hostage on the roof of the same multi-storey car park where her mum Donna died.
Ross raced to the location in question, where Jade’s thugs held April over the edge of the roof, threatening to push her if they didn’t get the cash.
Back in the village, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) learned that April had been taken and thus he and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) raced to the car park, where they handed over the remainder of the cash.
Mack, as viewers know, was the one who took the money during the fight at Butlers.
April raced into Ross’ arms, devastated by the ordeal that she’d been put through, but more heartache was set to ensue, with Ross telling her the circumstances that led to her mum’s death.
The news came as a huge shock to April, who sobbed as she attempted to process everything.
In this new video, Marlon bumps into Ross in the village. He is furious at the resident and says April blames him for keeping Donna’s death a secret. Ross argues that April should know the truth and will eventually understand Donna ‘died a hero’.
When Ross mentions ‘the other day’, Marlon’s face drops with confusion. It then becomes apparent while April has told her dad about her mum, she hasn’t said anything about the kidnapping.
Marlon is utterly horrified. His immediate response is to contact the police, but Ross warns him and says he will make things worse if the authorities know.
As he leaves, Marlon tells Ross to keep away from April as he doesn’t mean anything to her, but will he listen?
And how will the last few days impact the dynamic between father and daughter?
