EastEnders icon lands role in Christmas movie after Netflix success
Former EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood has landed a role in a new Christmas film.
The actor, 41, is best known for his role as Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb in the BBC soap, who he originally played from 2010 to 2015.
After competing on Dancing on Ice earlier this year, Ricky is now set to appear in Jingle All the Slay.
The film, written by Charley McDougall, will also star Nick Sagar and Alexa Adeosun, Deadline reports.
The official synopsis shows that the movie centres on a hitman called Hank Carter, who attempts to have a perfect family Christmas at a lakeside mansion but is disturbed by bounty hunters.
He’s forced to use festive decorations to protect his clan whilst remaining undercover, as they don’t know about his profession.
Sounds intriguing!
Ricky previously shared the screen with them in The Princess Switch film series.
He played Reggie in the two sequels; The Princess Switch: Switched Again and Romancing the Star alongside High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens.
A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Since leaving EastEnders, Ricky also appeared in the 18th series of Celebrity Big Brother, where he finished runner-up.
