Bent copper and all-round manipulator Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) once again highlights his selfish ways in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street.

When Kit isn’t bending the rules of his job, he’s plying Craig (Colson Smith) with drinks to get some gossip, or tricking Ryan (Ryan Prescott) into revealing information about new love interest Daisy (Charlotte Jordan).

The new face was introduced as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son earlier this year.

When he eventually got to the cobbles, Kit was reluctant to build a relationship with Bernie and his siblings due to the anger and hurt he felt surrounding being put up for adoption.

Following Paul’s (Peter Ash) death in September, things changed for Kit a little, but his heart is still icy and very cold.

In upcoming episodes, Daniel (Rob Mallard) decides to head out for a morning jog. On his way, he runs past Redbank Apartments and spots Kit kissing a female visitor.

He’s left puzzled and starts to ponder, knowing Kit was trying to date Daisy just a few days ago.

Not wanting his friend to get hurt, Daniel later reveals Kit’s kiss to Daisy – but how will she react?

‘I think he’s scared of opening himself up’, actor Jacob Roberts explained.

‘Obviously, he’s still flirting with Daisy and stuff. He’s opened himself up in different ways, he’s blaming things on Paul if he does get emotional or he does something wrong.

‘So he starts to go down that route, which is quite evil, I suppose, because he doesn’t want to open himself up, or he doesn’t want to tell the truth.’
