Nish gains an ally in EastEnders as his plot gathers momentum
Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) gained an ally as he set the wheels in motion for his revenge plan against ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and her fiancée Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) during Monday’s EastEnders.
The soap villain staged an armed escape from prison last week after learning the pair’s wedding was back on.
Dying Nish was jailed on Halloween after agreeing to take the rap for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder for The Six, but as part of the deal, he made Suki promise she would not marry Eve while he was still alive.
Since his escape, he has been hiding out at a derelict property on George Street, biding his time and working out how to derail their relationship once and for all.
On Monday, the Panesars were on edge with Nish still being on the loose, but resolved to try and carry on with their lives despite the threat he could pose to them all.
However, Nish soon made moves to draw his unwitting grandson Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) into his plan.
Summoning him to his hideout from a burner phone, Nish played on his terminal illness to try and get him on side.
Nugget was initially suspicious and threatened to call the police on his fugitive grandfather.
However, terminally ill Nish managed to talk him round by insisting he was not plotting revenge and simply wanted to die close to his loved ones and not in jail.
His words seemed to have an effect, with Nugget later picking up supplies for Nish from the newly reopened Minute Mart.
Will Nugget be unknowing further drawn into Nish’s evil plan, or will he get wise to his grandad’s dastardly deeds?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One, or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
