Hollyoaks’ Sienna Blake is set to make a game-changing confession about Ethan Williams’ death this Christmas.
Ethan fell from a balcony to his death on the day of his and Sienna’s wedding in October, and since then a mystery has unfolded about the incident.
Sienna was arrested for Ethan’s murder after Robbie and Vicky paid the wedding photographer to give a false statement and say he saw Sienna push Ethan.
Jez found out about this and made sure that the photographer retracted his statement, meaning that the case against his daughter fell apart.
But in recent weeks, Jez’s mum Martha was seen on screen again, with Jez continuing to manipulate her, and he suggested that she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s during the missing year.
Jez told Martha that she killed Ethan, and Martha was shocked to hear this news – but it was unclear whether he was telling the truth.
In next week’s scenes, Sienna gets concerned when she sees that her daughter Sophie has drawn a picture of a person falling out of a window.
She also decides to let Jez, Liberty and Dilly move back in with her, after previously kicking them out for suspecting that she was behind Ethan’s death.
Later this month, as Christmas approaches, the family is in high spirits. Dilly is grateful to be back at the Blakes, and Jez is planning a festive grotto at the shed. But Sienna is still worried about Martha, who is still living with her.
At the house, Martha is upset and, unable to sit on the information any longer, she decides to confess to Sienna that she was responsible for Ethan’s death.
Sienna sees that Martha is distressed, so she tells her grandmother that she couldn’t have killed Ethan – because she did.
After this huge revelation, Martha confronts Jez on Christmas Eve. She is angry that he told her she killed Ethan when it was Sienna, and he admits that he knew the truth.
Sienna and Martha then confront Jez together, and he is forced to cancel the grotto as he tries to explain himself.
But amid this major confession, did Sienna really kill Ethan or are things not quite as they seem?
These scenes will air during the week beginning Monday, December 23, on E4 and streaming service Channel 4.
