April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has made some tough discoveries recently in Emmerdale and it triggers a downwards spiral for the teen.
April was left devastated to learn from Ross Barton (Michael Parr) that her mum killed herself all those years ago. It was a lot for her to process in realising that her mum chose to leave her.
The worst part was that she couldn’t even tell her dad what she knew because it might mean that Ross would get in more trouble.
Alongside that, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and April have started to butt heads as she enters her awkward teenage phase.
April asked to head into town alone, but Marlon refused to put his trust in her and said no, thus triggering resentment for her dear old dad.
Him saying no was what led to her getting kidnapped by Jade and her heavies and dangled over the same drop where her mum died.
So, it’s not really any wonder that April is now in a dark place.
April is fast discovering her rebellious side and starts to push more boundaries with Marlon. Marlon then makes a heart-wrenching finding – April is beginning to dabble with drugs.
When Christmas Day arrives, Marlon is in for a horror discovery about his daughter, which leads to an awful start to 2025 for the pub chef.
