Emmerdale actress Claire King was desperate to spill the beans on a top-secret Kim Tate twist during an interview on This Morning on Wednesday.
The actress appeared on the ITV daytime show to speak about her character’s Christmas storyline, which will see Kim’s cheating husband Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) revenge plan come to a head.
Chatting to hosts Dermot O’Leary and Josie Gibson, Claire teased that there are huge scenes ahead for the pair – but stopped short of revealing the details for fear of ‘being shot’ by her soap bosses.
Asked about the storyline, Claire said: ‘It’s been a little bit challenging. Lovely because I love working with Dean, we’re good muckers off set as well.
But it’s been a little bit hard because of the subject matter but I can’t go into that.
‘I’m desperate to tell you but I’d be shot!’ she laughed.
Kim and Will are currently planning to renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day, after recently reuniting.
They were torn apart earlier this year when Kim found out Will had cheated on her with his ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco), and she tormented him by making him think he had a secret blackmailer.
However, since their reunion, Will has actually been seeking revenge, plotting to bring Kim down once and for all – with Kim seemingly unaware of his dastardly plan.
Asked how Kim will react when she finds out the truth, Claire teased: ‘I think she will want retaliation very quickly…’
Claire also addressed speculation as to whether the culmination of the plot means it could be Kim’s last Christmas in the Dales – but it seems the soap icon might live to see another year.
The star revealed her current contract has until June to run, and that if bosses decided to offer her a new deal, she would be ‘excited’ to consider it.
