Coronation Street star completes filming this year: ‘And that’s a wrap!’
Coronation Street star Elle Mulvaney has celebrated the end of filming after shooting her final scenes for the year.
Many of the cast will be wrapping up over the next couple of days as the ITV soap goes on its annual Christmas production break.
Elle, who plays the cobbles’ Amy Barlow, filmed her last scenes of 2024 on Wednesday, and marked the occasion with a snap on her Instagram Stories.
Sharing a picture from the famous street with The Kabin lit up amid the darkness, she wrote: ‘& that’s a wrap on me until 2025.’
It’s been a big year for Elle’s character, who became embroiled in The Institute cult.
Rowan Cuncliffe’s (Emrhys Cooper) sinister group conned her out of £40,000 of her grandmother Deirdre Barlow’s (Anne Kirkbride) inheritance money with a fake investment.
After finally seeing The Institute for what it really was, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) made it her mission to get justice for herself and Amy and see Rowan pay for his crimes.
The pair took to the stand earlier this month as Rowan was put on trial.
A jury later found Rowan guilty, and Amy was thrilled to get back some of her money.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street is currently gearing up for its big Christmas episode.
It will mark the end of an era as Gail Platt (Helen Worth) makes her final appearance.
Before she goes, she is visited by a spooky Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) and then she has to make a final decision on her wedding to Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson).
Meanwhile, her entire family are at war with one another – can she get the happy ending she deserves despite all of this going on around her?
