Coronation Street confirms Christmas tragedy as legend is arrested in new spoiler videos
Coronation Street will be one to watch this festive season, as confirmed in my new spoiler videos, with the exit of a TV legend on the cards, plus an unexpected arrest.
Gail Platt (Helen Worth) gets set to depart the cobbles after five decades of drama and she’s hopeful that after years of heartbreak she’s finally found happiness with Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson).
Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), however, isn’t so sure and she’s got big news to break in the Rovers on Christmas Eve.
Will Gail be left heartbroken once more?
Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), meanwhile, is left in shock when the police arrive to arrest her, much to the glee of scheming sister Leanne (Jane Danson).

Monday December 23
Toyah is confused by Amy’s awkwardness when she arrives at the bistro and upon entering the office she finds herself being arrested by Kit for fraud. Toyah pleads her innocence as Leanne smirks, having successfully pulled off her plot.
Tuesday December 24
Gail and Jesse arrive in the Rovers for their engagement party. Gail is upset over Audrey not having turned up but, to her surprise, her mum arrives moments later.
Audrey, however, isn’t there for the celebrations as she informs Gail that Jesse is hiding a big secret. Is Gail’s happiness set to be ripped away from her once again?
Friday December 27
Kit is forced to explain himself when Daisy confronts him over sleeping with Shona Platt. The detective claims he kept shtum since Shona is married but Daisy isn’t interested in his excuses.
