Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) has been left with a sour taste in her mouth after witnessing a worrying exchange between ex-fiancé’s Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in Coronation Street.

Daisy and Daniel have been separated for well over a year, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t still harbour feelings for one another…

Despite Daniel’s recent engagement to Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), he recently spent the night with Daisy – something they have kept tight-lipped about.

However, things grew much more complicated when Daisy discovered that she was pregnant, and realised that both Daniel and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) could be the father.

In last night’s episode, Bethany’s choice to host her engagement party in the Rovers left Daisy rattled, as she contemplated her current situation.

Things only got worse for her when Daniel pulled her aside for a quiet conversation about Bertie

Daniel insisted that Bertie saw Daisy as a mother-figure and wouldn’t want to ruin their relationship by cutting her out of his life completely.

The talk of motherhood left Daisy upset – something that didn’t go unnoticed by Sarah.

Following the barmaid into the backroom, Sarah pointed out that Daisy was a strong woman, and would normally be able to handle hosting Bethany and Daniel’s engagement party.

Seeing how upset Daisy was after her chat with Daniel, Sarah wanted to know what they had really talked about, sensing that something was off.

Daisy was quick to cover, lying that Daniel had brought up Kit and left her upset about their recent break-up, though it was clear that Sarah didn’t buy it.

Following her chat with Daisy, Sarah confronted Daniel, keen to see if he would tell the same story.

With neither Daniel nor Daisy giving anything away, Sarah issued a stark warning to her future son-in-law, promising to ‘end him’ if Bethany got hurt because of whatever was going on between Daniel and his ex.

Meanwhile, Daisy was still battling with whether or not to tell Daniel the truth about the baby, but luckily Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) was on hand to talk to.

When Daisy pointed out that there was nothing she could do until she knew who the baby’s father was, Jenny agreed to source a DNA test when Daisy decided she needed to know.
