Coronation Street seals future of three TV legends amid wave of cast exits
Amid a number of cast exits in Coronation Street, it’s been reported that three popular members of the show certainly won’t be going anywhere.
In the past few weeks, Charlotte Jordan, Sue Cleaver and Colson Smith have been confirmed as the next three people leaving the ITV soap.
Their departures come after Corrie fans said goodbye to Helen Worth (Gail Platt), Luca Toolan (Mason Radcliffe), Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) and Maureen Lipman (Evelyn Plummer).
Though it’s important to note Tracy has returned a number of times as a guest character since she officially left, which will also end up being the case for Evelyn.
Coronation Street is undergoing a massive change right now. Thankfully though, some iconic Weatherfield faces are sticking around.
According to the Mirror, William Roache, Sally Dynevor and Michael Le Vell will continue to play their characters Ken Barlow, Sally Metcalfe and Kevin Webster for at least another year.
Metro has contacted Coronation Street for a comment.
Michael and Sally have played their soap alter-egos since 1983 and 1986. Previously a couple, Kevin and Sally are now married to new partners Abi Webster (Sally Carman) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine).
Ironically, Sally and Joe are married in real life!

William Roache has played Ken Barlow since the very start of Coronation Street back in 1960.
The star is listed in the Guinness World Records as the longest serving TV star in a continuous role.
Elsewhere in Coronation Street, we confirmed towards the end of last year that Sue Devaney will be another star leaving the show soon, as character Debbie Webster – Kevin’s sister – is diagnosed with dementia.
There’s also a huge shake-up happening in Emmerdale, with Susan Cookson (Wendy Posner), Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding), Paula Lane (Ella Forster) and Lesley Dunlop (Brenda Walker) all exiting the soap.
