Things are getting out of control in next week’s Coronation Street, with Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) ordeal leading to erratic action, while a srunk Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) gets out of hand.

Still haunted by the death of Mason, which has triggered memories of Seb, Abi creates cause for concern for her loved ones.

Then things only get worse.

Elsewhere, Leanne’s vendetta against Toyah (Georgia Taylor) continues and then she makes an ill-advised pass at a neighbour, which causes serious tension.

When the court date then arrives, can Leanne keep things in control?

Speaking of court dates, fearful Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) receives her verdict, while David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) fears Harvey Gaskell is targeting the kids – and vows to protect them.

Monday January 20

It is a bad day in court for Lauren. As Roy tells the court that Lauren is a kind and caring person, Brie jumps up in the public gallery sporting a sling claiming Lauren attacked her in the prison.

A horrified Lauren assures her barrister she did no such thing. Lauren’s barrister tells her that Frankie is not well and has been taken to hospital. Upset that she is stuck in court and can’t go to her son, Lauren tells the prosecution barrister during Max’s cross examination that she is glad Joel is dead.

Later at the hospital, Lauren informs Max that Frankie’s fighting an infection. Certain she’s going to prison, Lauren regrets losing her temper in court and tells Max that she doesn’t care about the trial and the only thing that matters is Frankie getting better.

Bethany tells Sarah that she’s still going ahead with her move to London. As Daniel, Bethany and Sarah carry Bethany’s things out of the builder’s yard flat, Sarah spots Daisy and rails at her for destroying Bethany’s relationship.

Daisy receives the result of the DNA test. She reads it, but then deletes it and tells Jenny that the father of her baby is irrelevant and the result shall remain a secret. Jenny’s stunned.
