Coronation Street star Jessica Ellis has reflected on her time on the cobbles, telling her fans that she ‘had a ball’.

The former Hollyoaks star, who played Tegan Lomax on the Channel 4 soap, joined the cast of the ITV serial drama earlier this week as troublemaker Brie.

Brie has attempted to scupper Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) future while behind bars, causing trouble for the young mum, who is facing a life in prison after her role in the death of villainous Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

Friday’s (January 17) edition of the ITV soap saw Brie inform Lauren that she’d been released as she proceeded to stir up trouble for Lauren in a heated showdown.

The following episode will see Brie attend Lauren’s trial and, during Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) testimony, she stands up and makes quite an accusation, leaving Lauren fearing for her future.

The outcome of the story move remains to be seen but Brie’s stint on-screen will shortly come to an end, with star Jessica Ellis confirming such a thing in an Instagram post.

‘Well I had to get a picture in that iconic coat didn’t I’, she wrote on the social media platform alongside a picture of her time on the cobbles.

‘As a Manchester gal, what a moment in my career to get to be in the most iconic soap that I grew up with @coronationstreet not only that!

‘I got to work with my favourite director @m1ckeyjoe the icon and legend himself.

‘I had a ball and everyone was so bloody lovely! So I’ve only got one more soap to do! Can you guess which one it is? Do I get an award if I complete them all….’

Jessica is best known for her work on Hollyoaks, where she portrayed Tegan Lomax between 2013 and 2018.
