Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) has landed herself in quite a lot of bother in recent months in Coronation Street – but is she really capable of setting the Platt house on fire?

That’s the accusation she faces next week in the soap. And to add to the drama, Leanne can’t actually remember if she did – or did not – do it.

Prior to this happening, Leanne tries to persuade Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to join her for a boozy afternoon, but she feels rejected when he says he’s not really keen.

Leanne’s situation changes dramatically when the community realise Number 8 is on fire. Trapped inside is Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), who is then pulled to safety and treated by a paramedic.

Leanne rushes over to check on Toyah, but Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) notices she’s drunk and sends her packing.

Hoping for news on Toyah, Leanne arrives at the hospital waiting room. As Nick accuses her of starting the fire, Leanne assures him that she had nothing to do with it – but then finds a box of matches in her pocket.

Towards the end of the week, Steve rounds on Leanne for making out that she was at Oliver’s grave when the fire started, but Leanne admits that she cannot remember where she was.

She goes on to confirm that she definitely remembers seeing Toyah going into Number 8, but then her memory becomes hazy until she woke up in Victoria Garden with matches in her pocket.

As it stands, we don’t know who was responsible for the fire – but was it really Leanne?

She’s done a lot in recent weeks after Toyah got with her partner Nick – could she have set fire to the Platt house, knowing her sister was inside in a dark act of revenge?
