‘It’s working’ Coronation Street legend issues update amid years-long health battle
Coronation Street star Simon Gregson has shared a health update with fans after finding something to help with his anxiety.
The actor, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, has been candid about his struggles with anxiety and previously revealed how he was trying CBD to ease his symptoms.
Simon, 50, shared a new video with his 150,000 Instagram followers giving his verdict on the product.
He said: ‘This is the as promised progress report, it’s going on for two weeks now. So with the CBD stuff and gummies and oil, I feel good. There’s an ease after stress that can build up.
‘Three kids, three dogs and a cat, it’s a job and this gives me that nice calm and I’m sleeping a lot better before I go to bed.
‘It’s working, and I am feeling the benefits and I am pleased.’
Simon previously opened up about how he first noticed symptoms of anxiety in the 1990s.
‘It just hits you like a ton of bricks and makes you feel incapacitated,’ he explained during an appearance on Loose Women earlier this month.
‘It all came to a head in 2015 when I kept having panic attacks,’ he said, before revealing that he had been experiencing them throughout the day leading up to the interview on the ITV lunchtime show.
Despite having previously ‘just got on with it’, Simon revealed the moment that he knew he needed to get to the bottom of his symptoms.
‘When I had children and they were noticing it, they started talking about how they were getting anxious.’

Simon has appeared on Coronation Street since 1989, after joining the cast as a teenager.
Earlier this month, it was reported he had signed a new contract to stick with the soap amid a wave of cast exits.
He joined fellow Weatherfield stalwarts William Roache, Sally Dynevor and Michael Le Vell in signing new contracts recently.
