Coronation Street’s Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is spooked as she comes to a worrying realisation about the fire at the Platts, this spoiler video for next week’s episodes reveals.
No.8 went up in flames after a devastating act of arson on Monday, with a hunt for the culprit having since been launched.
On Wednesday, fans of the ITV soap saw how Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) began to suspect wife Abi (Sally Carman) could have been responsible.
With Abi currently suffering from PTSD following Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) murder, Kevin’s fears intensified when he noticed that one of the petrol cans was missing from the garage.
He then checked the CCTV footage and spied a hooded figure searching for one. But a relieved Kevin then explained to sister Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) that it can’t be Abi as she knows exactly where everything is stored.
Armed with an important piece of evidence, on Monday, Kevin shows the footage to Shona and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) in the hope it could help find the arsonist.
As our spoiler video reveals, Nick is completely nonplussed by the footage, but it becomes evident Shona has spotted something disturbing.
While she does her best to hide her shock, Nick soon clocks it.
‘What have you seen?’ he asks. ‘You know who it is, don’t you?’
Fans will have to wait until Monday’s episode to find out what has got Shona so spooked – but we do already know that David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is released from custody after the police brought him in for questioning last week.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) will later come under suspicion from police when they find some damning evidence against her – but is she really the culprit?
