Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) tells yet another lie in her on-going ‘who’s the daddy?’ storyline in Coronation Street next week.
The character recently fell pregnant and was unsure whether its father was Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) or ex-boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who she slept with not long before Christmas.
Daisy then left a trail of destruction by revealing news of her pregnancy and the uncertainty of its father to a packed-out Rovers last month.
As a result, Daniel’s furious girlfriend Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) ended their relationship and things have also been frosty between Kit and Daisy.
Daisy later decided to get a DNA test, but after receiving the results last month, she has been keeping them a secret from everyone.
She told stepmother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) that it was irrelevant who the father is, as she’s the baby’s mother and that’s all that matters.
Jenny was then stunned when Daisy deleted the email, insisting the result will remain a secret.
With Daniel and Kit still both in the dark about the baby’s paternity, the pair put pressure on Daisy for the result in scenes to air next week.
However, she lies and makes out she’s still waiting to hear – but just how long can she keep kicking the can down the road for?
It was recently confirmed that Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy, is one of several stars set to leave the soap later this year.
Confirming her exit after four years on the cobbles, the actress said it was time ‘to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities’.
