Coronation Street star Cait Fitton’s Britain’s Got Talent audition resurfaces and it’s incredible
Cait Fitton has made quite the impact on Coronation Street since her character Lauren Bolton arrived on the cobbles in 2022.
But what you might not have realised is that the actress popped up on another ITV show long before her soap role.
Back in 2020, Cait appeared on Britain’s Got Talent as part of sign-language choir Sign Along With Us.
At the time, the group wowed the judges with their powerful rendition of This is Me from the Greatest Showman soundtrack.

A clip of their audition has resurfaced on TikTok, where Corrie fans have been stunned to see Cait.
‘The way I’ve watched their audition 100’s of times and never realised Cait was in the group, she’s so incredibly talented!’ one commented.
Following their audition, Sign Along With Us earned then-judge David Walliams’ Golden Buzzer, putting them straight through to the semi-finals.
They eventually finished in second place overall in the series, losing out to the eventual winner, comedian Jon Courtenay, in the final.
Cait had several background parts on Coronation Street as a child, but landed her dream role when she was cast as Lauren nearly three years ago.
Reflecting on the achievement in a 2023 interview, she told The Sun: ‘The teacher asked us, “What do you want to be when you’re older?” Children were saying “a fireman” or “a nurse”, and I said, “I want to be in Coronation Street”. I remember all the teachers were amused, they couldn’t believe it. I watched it religiously.’
She added: ‘I loved Gail and Becky and Kylie and I’d think, “This is my dream”. I spent so long dreaming about it and wanted it so badly. Sometimes I’d despair and think it was never going to happen, but it just shows that if you fight and you work hard for your dreams, you can achieve.’
