Coronation Street ‘confirms’ new Rovers owner as major star returns
Following the news Catherine Tyldesley is returning to Coronation Street, fans are beginning to speculate as to what her character’s first storyline back in Weatherfield will be.
It’s been seven years since we last saw Catherine’s character Eva Price, who became a firm favourite among the audience.
With Eva reportedly heading back to the cobbles later this year, her return could tie in with a story that’ll begin in the next few days, involving current Rovers Return owners Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
In upcoming episodes, Daisy hands Jenny a legal document and explains that if she wants to pay Carla Connor (Alison King) off, she needs to sign to transfer the deeds over to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Devastated over losing the pub again, Jenny rails at Daisy, worried about her future.
Daisy bites back and tells Jenny that it was her idea to let Daniel think the baby is his, if it meant he would bail them out.
With Charlotte Jordan’s exit looming, Daisy’s time behind the bar will come to an end soon, clearly putting Jenny in a difficult position.
Let’s not forget, Eva’s mother Stella (Michelle Collins) was a previous landlady for the boozer, so it’s very possible she may follow in her mum’s footsteps and become Jenny’s new partner.
Or will she takeover the pub on her own, leaving Jenny forced to find another job?

‘Cath has been away for a while and worked on countless other projects but she really missed Corrie’, a source spilled to The Sun.
‘They’ve tried to get her back a few times but the stars have never aligned.
‘But when she was approached with the idea for Eva’s return, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.’
‘She’s so excited and can’t wait to get back on the cobbles and it’s definitely not going to be a storyline to miss.’
