Emmerdale fans have unearthed a picture of Michelle Hardwick’s 27-year-old appearance in Coronation Street, and the star hasn’t aged a day!

The actress is best known for her role as local vet Vanessa Woodfield in Emmerdale, having joined the cast in 2012.

But prior to joining the show, she had two guest roles on fellow ITV soap Coronation Street.

Michelle, 48, shared a memory of one of those with her followers after a fan posted a picture on their Instagram Story.

‘Fav girl making her Corrie appearance I cannot cope,’ the fan wrote, alongside the picture.

Reposting it, Michelle added: ‘Ahh thank you for posting. Think this was around 1998. My 2nd @coronationstreet appearance.’

Michelle first popped up in Weatherfield in February 1997 as Sheila Dixon, who was an assistant at supermarket Firman’s Freezers.

In November 1998, she then took on the role of Naomi Russell, the cousin of religious cult leader Ruth Morgan (Kirsten Parker).

Prior to landing her role in Emmerdale, Michelle also appeared as three different characters in ITV’s Sunday night drama Heartbeat.

In 2003, she landed a regular role in Heartbeat spin-off The Royal, playing hospital receptionist Lizzie Hopkirk.

In real-life, Michelle is married to Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks.

The couple met when Kate was the producer on Emmerdale, becoming engaged in 2018 and marrying in Memphis a year later.

They are also parents to two young children, Teddy and Betty.

Kate recently spoke about sharing their relationship on social media with Metro in celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month.

‘I think that being two gay women in the industry who have good platforms to use, especially Michelle, it’s important to show our life and our relationship behind the scenes,’ she explained.

‘We’re just a very normal family with the same ups and downs like everyone else. We would never try and hide that because if people can look at our family unit and think we’re doing normal things and we seem to be all right, then they can do it.’
