Coronation Street star confirms final scenes with certain co-star: ‘Definitely done’
Coronation Street star Colson Smith has confirmed that he has filmed his final scene with co-star Jack P Shepherd, and it has already aired.
The Craig Tinker actor announced his upcoming departure from the ITV soap earlier this year, confirming that his exit was set to be a dramatic one.
During his time on the show, actor Colson became close friends with co-stars Jack, who plays David Platt, and Ben Price, who plays Nick Tilsley.
Away from the cobbles, the trio started their own podcast together, which is where Colson revealed that he had finished filming scenes with Jack.
‘Our final scene as a threesome was on the TV,’ he revealed, ‘I think the three of us has definitely been done. I’ve got one more with Ben.’
The scene in question occurred just after the fire at No.8, and saw police officer Craig give David and Nick an update on the investigation.

‘I did think, watching that scene, oh is this going to be a last scene together,’ Instagram follower Kerry commented on the clip.
‘It was so sad watching your last scene with the 3 of you,’ Eve added.
Colson has played Craig for 14 years, after joining the soap at just 12-years-old, and has had some huge stories in that time.

His tenure has seen Craig suffer with OCD, train to become a police officer and have an ill-fated relationship with Faye Windass.
It was previously unknown as to how exactly Craig would be written out, though Colson did confirm that he had received his final scripts, branding them ‘a lot to process’.
According to The Sun, Craig will be killed off, with the long-running soap intent on giving him a hero’s goodbye.
‘Craig has grown up on the street and he’s become part of it so it was a tough decision to make but one that will be worth it,’ a source told the publication.
‘PC Tinker will meet his maker in heroic circumstances this summer and there won’t be a dry eye in the house when it goes out.
‘Colson is taking it well and there’s a real feeling that this chapter is closing for him and there are bigger and brighter things ahead.
‘He’ll film his final scenes later this month and then he’ll say goodbye to Craig once and for all.’
