Coronation Street star unveils all new career after controversial character’s death
Coronation Street star Luca Toolan has announced his latest career venture after leaving the ITV soap earlier this year.
Luca, 20, played troubled teen Mason Radcliffe on the cobbles for nearly 18 months, before the character met a grisly end in January.
Introduced as Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) school bully, Mason quickly became a controversial character with his cruel treatment of the young lad.
After serving time for threatening Liam with a knife, Mason returned to the cobbles, where he tried his best to leave his life of crime behind.
He was on a path to redemption with things finally looking up for him whenthe tragedy struck.
Having repaired his relationships, started culinary college with plans to start a new life in Germany, things took a turn when he handed evidence to the police that linked his older brothers to the murder of girlfriend Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) mum, Becky.
When Mason and Logan Radcliffe were released from custody, they went after Mason and ended up stabbing him, after Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) brought a knife into the fight.
After being rushed to hospital, Mason sadly died from his injuries.
Following his exit from Corrie, actor Luca is turning his hand to a brand new career: teaching acting classes.
Taking to Instagram, he enthusiastically revealed that he would be holding classes at Bee Rogue Talent, thanking them for the opportunity.

‘It is going to be great and we are going to do a lot of script analysis, improvisation, character development and learning and teaching the craft of acting,’ he explained.
Bee Rogue Talent were thrilled to have the actor on board, writing: ‘Excited to announce we will be having Luca Toolan down to teach at our brand new classes. We can’t wait to start this next exciting venture!’
However, Luca hasn’t stopped acting himself, having recently filmed a comedy pilot alongside real-life famous dad, radio DJ Mike Toolan.
Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy leads the cast, alongside Hollyoaks’ Kim Tiddy and G’Wed actor Zak Douglas.
