Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has officially left the soap after filming her final scenes as Daisy Midgeley.

The actress announced earlier this year that she would be departing Weatherfield after four years as the Rovers Return co-landlady.

Now, Charlotte has wrapped on the show, with Daisy’s final scenes set to air in the coming weeks.

A source said: ‘Charlotte wrapped her time on the cobbles and had a leaving party recently.

‘It was very lowkey as she wanted. She’ll be very missed,’ the insider added to The Sun.

It is currently unclear exactly how Daisy will exit Corrie, but recent scenes have seen her at odds with her step-mother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) before losing her unborn baby in a horrifying car accident.

There is set to be more tension between the pair next week when Daisy learns that Jenny has had a secret windfall, and has not used it to pay off their debts over the ownership of the Rovers to Carla Connor (Alison King).

In real life, Charlotte seems to be making the most of no longer playing Daisy, revealing a hair transformation on Instagram earlier this month.

She can now be seen sporting blonder hair after swapping out her trademark brunette locks for something lighter.

One fan commented on her post: ‘I am so sad that you are leaving Corrie but I am excited what you are going to be doing next because you are so talented I can’t wait for what you next.’

Another added: ‘Awww your so beautiful literally my fave in Corrie I don’t want you to leave lol but I’ll watch you in whatever you do next [sic].’

She’d previously said of her decision to quit Coronation Street: ‘After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.

‘It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.’
