Tonight’s Coronation Street saw Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) day take a turn for the worse when he learnt that new beau Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was married.
Arriving to organise her mum’s funeral, Theo’s wife Danielle Silverton gave Todd quite the shock – especially as he had just slept with Theo during his lunch break!
It is clear that Danielle has absolutely no idea about the double life Theo has been leading – but will it stay that way, or will Todd expose Theo’s lies?
Taking on the role of Danielle is former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson, who played Alicia Gallagher in the Yorkshire-based soap from 2010 to 2015.
‘Danielle is such a brilliant character! I’m so thrilled to be playing her,’ actress Natalie enthused.
‘She’s a deeply layered woman and it’s been wonderful to explore some of those layers as I’ve gone on this journey with her.
‘She’s also a bit of a shapeshifter so you never really know what you’re going to get and I’ve absolutely loved playing that, there’s lots of surprises with her!’
Speaking about joining the Coronation Street cast, she added: ‘I’m delighted and honoured to be stepping on to the cobbles.
‘Coronation Street is an institution and especially if you’re a northerner like me, it’s part of the fabric of our upbringing.

‘I’m not going to lie, I did have a little tear when I started as I felt an immense sense of pride walking around the sets where so many incredible actors and characters have gone before.
‘It’s also lovely to be working with ITV who I’ve spent so many years with throughout my career, it’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces. I’m having the loveliest time!
During her time in the Dales, Natalie’s character was involved in some huge storylines, including one that saw her sexually assaulted by teenager Lachlan White.
More recently, actress Natalie has appeared in Netflix series Fool Me Once, alongside Corrie alumni Michelle Keegan. She also did a stint in Hollyoaks between 2021 and 2022.
