Coronation Street favourite threatened with job suspension after under-handed practices
Coronation Street’s DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has been threatened with suspension after continuing to investigate Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) involvement in the Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) case.
She’s a woman on a mission, and she’s not gonna stop until she brings Joel down!
In last night’s episode, she charged into the offices at the police station and asked DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) whether anybody else was present when he found the evidence that implicated Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) for Lauren’s disappearance.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was planning to frame him by planting a hair bobble in his work van.
When bent copper Kit caught her in the act, he offered to do the dirty work for her.
As a result, he was quick to shut down Lisa’s questions over the incident, and told her to move on since the case was closed.
Earlier in the week, she worked with Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) in tracking down someone from Joel’s past that could provide the answers to get him sent down.
After meeting up with one of his ex-colleagues, they provided him with his old phone and believed there could be something crucial on there.
However, after rushing to see Lisa, she was dishearten to hear that they could no longer use police sources anymore. There could be a loophole though – if they did everything slyly, they could still effectively progress in the case.

Unfortunately, Kit’s meddling could put a stop to that.
He’d tipped off their boss about Lisa’s investigating, and he warned that she could be suspended if she continues.
Later, in the factory, she sat down for a heart to heart with Carla Connor (Alison King) and admitted that despite everything, she was determined to bring him down.
Will Joel continue to evade justice?
