Troubled Coronation Street characters return amid multiple arrests for disgusting crimes
Coronation Street fans are set to see some familiar faces in upcoming scenes, as they make a return to the cobbles.
In upcoming scenes, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) reveals to Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) that the people traffickers who targeted Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) have been arrested.
Because of this, Alina is set to come out of hiding and will be collecting son Dorin the following day.
When Alina arrives, Tyrone is heartbroken that Hope and Ruby (Isabella Flanagan and Billie Naylor) may never see their brother again, as Alina confirms that they will be leaving for Romania soon.
However, when Tyrone goes to call Ruby and Dorin in from outside, he is horrified to find the backyard empty…
Elsewhere, the net is closing around evil Joel Deering (Calum Lill) as DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) discovers some crucial evidence on his work phone that leads her to talk to an old face from Joel’s past.
A while back, when Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) was trying to find out answers after Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) was arrested, she contacted a teenage sex worker called Ellie (Lola Blue). Bethany believed that Ellie had previously been lured into the same sex ring that she had in 2017.

Joel paid Ellie to claim that she was a former victim of Curtis, because having Nathan Curtis arrested for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) was, of course, convenient for Joel – the one who was really responsible for Lauren’s disappearance.
Lauren vanished from her flat earlier this year, and when blood was found at the scene the police soon launched a murder investigation. Roy Cropper (David Neilson) was wrongly jailed for a time, and then Nathan Curtis was arrested after some of Lauren’s hairs were found in his van.
Viewers discovered that Joel had groomed and sexually abused Lauren, and in a rage had hit her over the head multiple times in a frenzied attack – but hadn’t killed her.
As well as his crimes against Lauren, there were fears that Joel had done something terrible to Ellie, as she later vanished from her flat under mysterious circumstances – much as Lauren had – after she started demanding more cash from him to keep quiet.
In episodes to be aired soon, Lisa tells Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) that Joel’s work phone has shown some text message conversations with a female, and she wants to follow it up.
The messages are between Joel and Ellie, and Craig (Colson Smith) agrees to help track her down, off the record. He manages to do just that and soon finds out where Ellie is currently living.
Can he persuade her to talk to Lisa? And could this lead to Joel finally being brought to justice for his horrible crimes?
