Coronation Street serves up an intense week, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures, with Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) life on the line while Roy Cropper (David Neilson) encounters danger once more.
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is left reeling when he receives shocking news about Bethany, learning that she is in intensive care in a Turkish hospital, suffering from a severe infection.
The teacher wastes little time in relaying the update to a horrified Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), with the pair catching a flight to Turkey in time for Bethany to regain consciousness.
In emotional scenes, Sarah is forced to break life-changing news to her daughter – and things escalate further soon afterwards as Bethany is left struggling to breathe.
Elsewhere on the Street, Joel Deering (Calum Lill) approaches Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) with their wedding rings, declaring that he’s still in love with her.
Dee-Dee is reeling, with Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) forced to step in.
On what would’ve been their wedding day – later in the week – Joel stumbles into the cafe and locks the doors, leaving Roy in serious danger.
Will Roy be saved before it’s too late? Or will evil Joel – who was responsible for Roy’s prison stint earlier this year – put the cafe owner through yet another ordeal?
Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), meanwhile, begs Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) to come clean about planting the purse on Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) – but Betsy refuses.
